Cracovia Marathon and accompanying events.

Organized since 2002, the Cracovia Marathon is the largest spring race at the royal distance in Poland, attracting the largest group of foreign runners. The start and finish line are located on Krakow's Main Market Square – one of the most prestigious locations in Europe, which undoubtedly works like a magnet for many runners. For this reason, it was a natural choice to use the historical symbols of our city when designing the visual identity of the event, especially since the motto of the marathon is invariably "With history in the background".

This year, the main motif on the medal and T-shirt is the image of St. Mary's Basilica, where the adventure with the marathon distance will begin and end. This one of the most recognizable monuments of the former capital of Polish is surrounded by a delicate blue background symbolizing the beauty of the sky, but also the colors of the city of Krakow. Thanks to the use of translucent enamel, the antique silver medal pierces the background, thus enlivening its surface. Attention is also drawn to the reference to Krakow's stained-glass windows, whose craftsmanship and delicacy have delighted for centuries. This unique combination makes the medal a beautiful and deeply steeped in history souvenir. The place for the engraving is on the reverse.
