European Games 2023 10 km Night Run: they ran behind the Fire of Peace

In the unique European Games 2023 10 km Night Run, in the illuminated scenery of the Main Market Square, Albert Kipkorir Tonui and Izabela Paszkiewicz were the first to check in at the finish line. 3402 people from 35 countries took part in the event. Just before the start of the run, the Fire of Peace was officially presented in the capital of Małopolska for the first time, which will burn in the torch of the 3rd European Games Kraków-Małopolska 2023 from 21 June to 2 July.

The symbolic section of the route with the torch was run by the President of the European Games 2023 Company, Marcin Nowak, a former excellent sprinter.

Second place in the men's competition went to Kennedy Kipkemoi Rono, also from Kenya. To the delight of the numerous and loudly cheering fans at the Krakow's Main Market Square, Polish representative Adam Nowicki, an Olympic athlete from Tokyo, was third, among his many successes having to his credit the national championship in the 10 km run in 2022.

The women's podium was completed by Ukrainian Natalia Semenovych (last year's winner) and Kenyan Philice Cheboriot Kipkerio.
