Night Run with Wawel – Night Run (10 kilometres) with a Title Sponsor

The Night Run (10 kilometres) changes its name. Recently, Wawel – the confectionery manufacturer based in Krakow and the partner of running events organised on behalf of the Municipality of Krakow by the Sports Infrastructure Management Board of Krakow – became a Title Sponsor of the run. Starting with the upcoming edition, the run will be known as: Night Run with Wawel.

Wawel has declared a long-time collaboration on the development of the running event which enjoys growing popularity from year to year, which perfectly fits into the new communication strategy of the brand, summed up by the brand’s new slogan: “Feeling better, doing better”.

The annual run, which will be organised for the fourth time, will commence this year’s edition of the Krakow Running Meetings, a series of running events ending with the 16th PZU Cracovia Marathon. The participants of the Night Run with Wawel will set out on the course on the 28th of April at 9:00 p.m. from the promenade at 3 Maja Avenue near the Henryk Reyman City Stadium. That is also where the finishing line will be located. The runners will have 1.5 hours to complete the 10 km run. On their way, they are going to see many magnificent monuments, which are already well-known to all the marathon runners
– the route goes through the Main Market Square and near the Royal Castle on the
Wawel Hill.

With every year, the number of participants is steadily going up: 1058 runners completed the first Night Race, with 1821 and 2615 finishing the subsequent editions. This year’s maximum number of participants is 4000.

Competitors of at least 18 years of age as of the 28th of April 2017 may participate in the race.
