- As is tradition, the start and finish lines were located on the Main Market Square, and the route led runners past illuminated monuments and historic churches, showcasing Kraków in an exceptionally atmospheric setting. During the race, participants visited Wawel Royal Castle – this magical evening was a perfect preview of the excitement of the marathon – summed up Tomasz Marzec, Director of the Sports Infrastructure Management Board of Kraków.
Medals and prizes were presented to the top three finishers in the overall men’s and women’s classifications by Aleksander Miszalski – Mayor of Kraków – and Tomasz Marzec – Director of the Sports Infrastructure Management Board of Kraków.
Interest in the race was enormous – the registration cap was reached more than a month before the event. This is the best proof that the unique atmosphere of running under Kraków’s night sky attracts competitors.
The title sponsor of the event was the OSHEE brand.
