The 19th Cracovia Marathon will not be held on April 25, 2021
Due to the constant inability to plan, prepare and carry out – even in a limited formula – a classic running event, which results from the restrictions and regulations related to the epidemic, planned for April 25, 2021 – 19th Cracovia Marathon will not take place. Thus, the accompanying events scheduled for April 24 – Cracovia Inline Skating Marathon, 15th Piotr Gładki Mini Cracovia Marathon and the Night Run 10 km will also not be organized.
Following the example of the Organizers of other running events from Poland and around the world, we must resign with efforts to conduct a spring event. The ongoing pandemic of the coronavirus and above all the lack of information and guidelines regarding the longer perspective of the regulation
and restrictions on sports, including the possibilities and possible rules of organizing sports events of a running nature, forced us to resign from the next scheduled date of the 19th Cracovia Marathon.
Considering that we hope to organize the 14th Three Mounds Run and the 7th Cracovia Royal Half Marathon in the fall, and other sports events are also planned in Krakow in the second half of 2021, we do not want to postpone the event until then.
Together with the Association of Mass Sports Organizers we are constantly taking steps to develop a consensus with the state and sanitary authorities, and above all, to obtain a "green light" for the organization of this year's sports events in any limited, although the traditional formula, while maintaining the sanitary regime.
Registration and the starting fee
All runners who paid the entry fees for participation in the 19th Cracovia Marathon, Cracovia Inline Skating Marathon, 15th Piotr Gładki Mini Cracovia Marathon and the Night Run 10 km and they did not apply for a refund after the first change of the dates of the events will have the entry fee moved to 2022.
What should I do to receive a refund of the entry fee?
We encourage you to stay with us! However, in the event of resignation from participation in the above-mentioned events, until April 30, 2021, you can apply for a refund of the starting fee - by sending an e-mail to the following address: zapisy@zis.krakow.pl, with the title "Return of the starting fee for... (name of the event)". Please bear with us while waiting for the return.
At the same time, we encourage all runners to stay with us – people who do not apply for a refund of the entry fee will have their entry fee transferred to 2022.
We hope that next year we will be able to meet in the traditional formula at the start of the Krakow marathon and accompanying events!
Kraków will always run with you!
